There is a disconnect when a church is known for faithful Bible preaching but the people in the church are biblically illiterate or are not living in obedience to God’s Word. Faithful Bible preaching is essential, but it alone cannot accomplish the full task of making disciples.
May we praise God for the crucible of grace that transforms our burdens into blessing, our struggle into strength, our suffering into silver!
The Church is God’s invitation to His family banquet table, where there is always plenty to eat, always room to sit, always love, laughter and life to be found.
We must seek God. Pursuing any other goal or prize is like beating the air. It is a useless flailing that leaves us empty and exhausted. We must seek Christ, for He alone is treasure; simply knowing Him, our grand pursuit.
Don’t quit. Don’t retire from being God’s messenger. Keep at it and do not grow weary. Go hard until you go home.
