“Let a righteous man strike me— it is a kindness; let him rebuke me— it is oil for my head; let my head not refuse it.” Psalm 141:5
Why would anyone welcome a punch in the face? Why would anyone want to be called out? The last thing most men want is to be held accountable and forced to confront his own failings. Yet, as David describes, a good and godly man will not only welcome this kind of brute force accountability, he will seek it out.
When you have strong, godly men in your life who truly care about you and are willing to correct you when you are out of line, you are a blessed man.
