“A law will go out from me, and I will set my justice for a light to the peoples.” Isaiah 51:4
Many people simultaneously demand their rights while also holding disdain towards the law. God is the author of human dignity and the ultimate source of moral law. Every law that flows from God is an overflow of God’s love for mankind. Ignoring God’s law is certain to result in the deconstruction of true justice.
We all long for the light of justice to shine over our land. Yet, our world is full of darkness. If we were willing to let God’s Word dictate our laws, God would set his justice as a light for all people. A nation that resists and rejects the law of the Lord will never see the light of justice. A nation that hears and receives God’s law will stand amazed as the light of justice rises like a sunrise once again.
